The National Park community “Bayerisch Eisenstein” is set like a jewel between the most beautiful Bavarian Forest mountains. Unique natural beauty sites and an extensive range of leisure activities make “Bayerisch Eisenstein” a popular holiday destination. You can breathe fresh air in our Bavarian Forest and our mountains are easy for everyone to climb. It is an experience, to have a wide-ranging view, the visitors have a sea of forest in front of them.

The “HZW” visitor centre with wild animal enclosures, the “wildness camp” and big and small “Arbersee” lakes are internationally known sights. There is a leisure pool (ZEB), with a big sauna world, museums and shopping in our neighbouring town “Zwiesel” (ca. 12 km).

Bayerisch Eisenstein have been welcoming visitors to this unique location, high in the Eisenstein valley (724 - 1.456 m), since the 19th century.
Enjoy its unspoilt forests stretching as far as the eye can see, the crystal clear waters of the mountain lakes, the clean air, the Great Arber mountain and the warm hospitality - a pure and peaceful paradise right on the Czech border.
